... Okay, so the first draft of this had Beatty musing on them being so Gryffindor while he (although wasn't the best Ravenclaw) ended up getting dragged into their plans.

Seriously, though, I imagine Hardy and Nelson being Gryffindors from the moment the hat touched their heads (though maybe with a moment of thought on Hufflepuff for Hardy) and Beatty just sitting there for minutes as the hat tried to choose between intelligence and stubborness. XDDDD

Yesssssss, and Beatty is deeply proud of being in Ravenclaw and all that, even if he sometimes feels left out because of it. <3333 But the othr two always try and make him feel included and when Nelson becomes a Prefect this means BATHS and stuff. :DDDD
