Prompt challenge on STXI-Sinfest by
Pairing: McCoy/Chekov
Rating: NC-17? (Thinking this due to ANGSTY ANGSTNESS that abounds in this :P)
Challenge: I need to leave my own head for a while
A/N: Beta-ed by
This is a crap method of coping, you think to yourself as you press Chekov against the wall, plundering his mouth with your tongue, hands sliding under and inside clothing, noting with a sense of detachment how Chekov’s curls mirror Dawson’s –
Blood blood everywhere, screaming pain and dying and the look in his eyes make it stop Doctor make the pain go away please Doctor please I want my mom I don’t want to die here get me home get me out blood blood blood screaming -
“Doctor, please!” Chekov groans out, and you’re jerked back into the present, back to Chekov’s arching body and the growing need in your own to escape from what you’re thinking about. You throw Chekov on the bed – gently, there’s been too many injuries, too many deaths for you to cause another, and you sink down on top, settling in between the boy’s –
Man such a man such a beautiful man who lets you do this lets you escape, such beautiful –
thighs, feeling them open just for you as you sweep a hand up, up and up until you brush over Chekov’s lips, push fingers inside for sucking, thumb his lips –
Lips that plead for help, stained red from blood as Dawson bleeds to death, bubbling your failure in each shuddered gasp and flinch-
You need to escape NOW.
You force Chekov’s trousers down, note how he must have known this was going to happen, he’s bare underneath and his cock is arching like the rest of him, ready and willing for you to do this –
Such a beautiful body God I’m not worthy how can he let me take him take him and run from what I couldn’t do, who I couldn’t save –
You fade out again to Chekov’s thrusts into your grip, vision fading in white oblivion –
the white walls of the transporter room clashing with the red, Dawson’s last breath being on the Enterprise and you’re frozen even as you scream for emergency transport to med-bay – crashing back in gasps of breath to Chekov’s arms around you, rubbing small circles on your back, murmuring in broken Russian and English about how you brought Dawson back, you brought Dawson back and that’s what matters.
It’s only as you fall asleep curled around your anchor, come and sweat cooling on the twisted sheets, that you realize you were crying from the moment you entered the room.
*Gleefully runs from the angst she's created xD*

Date: 2010-04-07 09:42 pm (UTC)I also love the way you did Bones thoughts. They were really, really believable to me. The way they ran on, but still were coherent.
Also! Yay for Bones saving Dawson! That's not something you see so often in these fics. Usually it's the loss that pushes Bones to this level of angstiness, and with yours it was just the fact that sometimes having to see all of the destruction that the human body goes through is HARD!
My heart melted with the last line. That was just gorgeous. This entire ficlet was gorgeous!

Date: 2010-04-07 10:02 pm (UTC)Bones/Chekov is my sekrit dirtybadwrong pairing (that I love ever so much), and it always makes me sad how little fic there is for them. This is gorgeous. I love Bones' neediness, how truly broken he is. I've always seen Bones as someone who is compassionate to the point of breaking himself; he blusters and grumbles just to keep himself from falling apart with how much he genuinely cares about people. That's shown so beautifully here. I also love how well you've done Chekov, as someone who intuitively knows what's needed and provides that as best he can. I adore competent, strong Chekov, and despite his lack of dialogue, that aspect of his personality really comes through.
Well done!

Date: 2010-04-07 10:53 pm (UTC)AWW I love this comment, thanks for seeing it - Bones just wouldn't stop thinking, wouldn't stop trying to save, and Chekov's there to help him through the tough times, and cheers for that, I was quite worried that it wouldn't work, so this reassures me :D
Thankyou!! :D

I honestly have no idea, I think it must have happened more than once, simply due to Leonard (as we see him in AOS) is hardly likely to do this on a whim, he'll do it wiht someone he trusts, who lets him be vulnerable - in this case, Pavel.
All these questions that I want to answer! Darn you :P
Thank you EXTREMELY much for reviewing, it means a lot that you liked it :D

Research. Purely. Of course. *shifty eyes*
